Hello! I’m Kayla Weiqi Huang,
a Chinese-American artist who’s currently based in NYC and attending the School of Visual Arts as a junior in 2D Animation.
From a young age, my need to create was clear. I would draw on almost anything, even staining my mom's favorite couch with the doodles I'd leave behind. As I've grown older, that love for creation continued to bloom. Especially for the visual arts that would involve stories, characters, and childlike wonder.
Other than art, you can probably catch me going cafe or restaurant hopping at all the different boroughs in NYC. My love for food is as undeniable as my love for art so they come hand in hand.
